Employment
We employ over 150 employees in a variety of positions to assist in the daily operations of the Tribe. Some of the departments in our organization are:
Accounting & Finance, Casino – only Gaming Commission, EPA, Facilities, Human Resources, Information Technology, Library, Planning, Procurement, Security, Senior Center, TANF, Tribal Administration, and Wetlands.
We have employees working in the following locations: Palmdale, Long Beach, Monterey Park, San Jacinto, Murrieta, and Thermal.
We offer full time employees excellent benefits that are administered through our Human Resources Office. Our benefits currently include Medical, Dental, Life and Vision plans, a 401(k) retirement program with an employer match schedule, vacation and sick time off. In 2009, the Tribe approved their employees 14 paid holidays and 1 float day.
Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians practices a drug free work environment. Employees who are hired are required to submit to a drug test and must produce a negative test result. Most positions require a High School Diploma or GED and a valid California Drivers License with ability to be insured on our driving insurance plan. Employees must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. We are required to give Indian preference in employment to qualified Indian candidates.
